I’m so sorry to hear that (and I hope you’re trips went as well as possible.) A tip from a compulsive nagger who suffered a pretty horrible back injury at fourteen, which still gives me problems:
It’s best to keep mobile in these cases. Nothing strenuous, of course, but keeping still has a habit of making things worse.

I’m sorry to hear about your back injury, but the medical care I can afford right now is coming from people with back problems, so I appreciate your insights. So, yesterday I rested and alternated hot and cold and took ibuprofen, which I’m taking at prescription doses anyway for arthritis. That has helped. I will be up and about this afternoon and see how things go.
