I cannot fathom why one would
(a) keep a tame lawyer, and
(b) expect such a creature to make a good bludgeon.
Perhaps they meant ‘snark’.

Perhaps they had just seen The Old Man and the Sea, and were getting sharks mixed up with marlin. The original meaning was probably something like “hit me with your favorite marlin.”

Hit me with your best marlin? Or perhaps Hit me with your best Marlin?, as in baseball players.

Either way, it sounds painful.

Dammit. Now EVERY TIME I hear that song from now on I’m going to hear “Pet Shark”…

I always thought the lyrics of Kyrie by Mister Mister weren’t
“Kýrie, eléison, down the road that I must travel
Kýrie, eléison, through the darkness of the night”

But “Carry a laser down the road that I must travel, carry a laser through the darkness of the night…”

Still think my version works too 🙂

Now I have to clean coffee off the keyboard!

I hear Elton John sang at Rush Limbaugh’s wedding this past weekend. I wonder if he sang that “electric boobs,” song, Benny and the Jets?
