HillBuzz is back!!!

I saw around 11 pm on August 4 that those nice young gay men from Chicago at HillBuzz have resumed blogging after a hiatus of almost seven weeks and I started writing this post as soon as I’d finished reading theirs! I am overjoyed!

What better way to celebrate than with a song by Ethel Merman:

Sebastian’s last post on June 18 was about the importance of persistance in the campaign to fire David Letterman. In previous posts, he had mentioned that his friend, Lionel, was dying of prostate cancer, and the HillBuzzers also had discussed plans for a new, more elaborate blog this summer. So when readers here asked about HillBuzz’s silence when I wrote about Just a Girl in Short Shorts Talking About Whatever ending her blog due to censorship, I reminded them of how much those dear young men might be trying to juggle.

Things were going worse for them than I thought. In addition to Lionel dying, another friend from Team Hillary died without much warning and a third friend was diagnosed with cancer. They also work full-time and had maintained a grueling schedule for about a year and a half to keep HillBuzz going.

It is rewarding and instructive to read their new posts, here and here. Because some of my gentle readers are very wary of anything related to Hillary Clinton and Democrats, I want to remind them that after the nomination was stolen from Hillary, the HillBuzz men went to work campaigning for McCain/Palin. They continue to be among the most staunch supporters of Gov. Palin, as the following excerpt from today’s post shows:

But going forward, we do think this [HillBuzz] is a useful outlet in a time when the MSM truly is a party propaganda machine and the socialization of America is perhaps the greatest threat to this nation that we’ve faced, at least in our lifetimes. We see merit in the continued investment of ourselves into HillBuzz, but changes will have to be made to balance things from a quality of life standpoint.

The thing that finally jarred us out of the depression we’d all been collectively in was a recent attack on Sarah Palin here in Chicago over this past weekend that was just the sort of thing we’d race to a computer to write all about (see forthcoming article in next post above). We truly believe Sarah Palin is running for president in 2012 and want to do everything we can to help her win the nomination and boot Dr. Utopia from the White House before he can succeed in reducing this great nation to “just one of 190 countries in the world,” the way he aspires.

Our focus going forward is going to be very Iowa and New Hampshire-heavy, as we try to determine how best to win the first Caucus and Primary for Palin in 2012. A lot of this will be reflecting on what worked and what failed for Hillary Clinton during the 2008 primaries.

We sadly do not believe Hillary Clinton will ever be president at this point, which truly breaks our hearts to admit. Things are going to get so much worse between now and 2012, that almost any Republican will be able to defeat Dr. Utopia, but we believe things will rebound in 2014 or so and whoever that Republican is will get a second term. Clinton will be 69 in 2016, and 73 in 2020. It doesn’t seem likely she’ll ever have another shot at the Oval Office…but we hope she runs for Governor of New York in the future…or, more far-fetched but highly possible, is made the first female UN Secretary General (and the first American one too). It remains hard for those of us on the ground that HRC is out of politics for the time being, because we’d love to be out there campaigning for her.

We’d also love to be openly campaigning for Sarah Palin, too. And can’t wait until the red/white/blue moose logos start popping up everywhere, as we expect a Palin campaign would utilize.

I want my dear ones at HillBuzz to know how much I appreciate how intelligent, articulate, perceptive, dynamic and large-hearted they are. I wish them every blessing always and I am joyful that they are back. Life is good, my darlings, life is good. We are battling for the life and soul of America and it is wonderful that you are back with us now, fighting side-by-side.

  1. It’s a shame to go on that website and read the part about the hateful messages about their friends who died. I’m a Christian, although I’ll never qualify for sainthood. Law enforcement has made me too cynical for me to be a great Christian. Many of my faith believe acting on homosexual or lesbian feelings is a sin. I’m not quite so sure, there seems to be little enough love in the world and the texts of christianity have been translated and mistranslated so many times it’s really hard to tell. Mainly, though, my soul is my problem. Someone else’s soul, their problem. I am convinced that as a Christian I should hate the sin but love the sinner. Having done more than my share of both plain and fancy sinning in my day I do the best I can. I do hate those who hurt children and I hate bullies. So, you can see that I’m still not perfect.
I would bet five dollars in green Yankee money (and on my pension, that’s a big bet) that most of the hateful messages on their site are from the oh-so tolerant left.

Oh well, I’m supposed to be writing on my own blog but here I am…

  2. Cynthia,

Thanks so much for the kind words — it’s been one challenging summer, that’s for sure.

What really forced us back was the latest attack on Governor Palin in Chicago — this one by The Chicago Diner. Over this past weekend, The Chicago Diner collected thousands of dollars using jars that read ‘Sarah Palin Retirement Fund’.

We asked them if they are giving that money to SarahPAC. They said no.

We asked them to put a disclaimer on their jars telling people this money is not for Governor Palin or her retirement. They said they would not put up a disclaimer.

So they used The Guv’s good name to make a tidy sum for themselves.

Can your readers please help us do two things:
    (1) Research how many laws, if any, The Chicago Diner broke doing this
    (2) Call, email, and write The Chicago Diner to tell them they broke the law (if true in #1 above), and need to give that money to SarahPAC

Another option, if (1) turns up something, would be to file complaints with the IRS and other agencies (if that’s possible).

Liberals scurry off like spiders when challenged. The problem is, the Left is not challenged enough and thinks it can get away with things like this. It’s unfortunate but true. To some of you out there, it might not seem like a big deal they did this — but to us, if we want to win the next election for Palin, we have to start now in terms of swatting back her attackers.

Thanks for any help you can give. We’ve been through so much lately that we’re a little rusty and can use all the help you and your contacts can give in turning up the heat on The Chicago Diner.

    1. HillBuzz,

I agree with you that you want to know the rules of a situation BEFORE you walk into it. But, in this case, I think you should just call the district attorney’s office, get an appointment, and take your photos. See what they say. If you are not satisfied with that result, then research the law. You can even ask the attorney who meets with you where to look.

If they do it again, take photos or video, then call the police immediately. Money is being taken by fraud. Right then and there. If the police officer does not make them stop or arrest someone, then call the district attorney’s office and proceed as above. Besides fraud, I would ask if identity theft was committed.

Once the money is removed from the jars, the diner owner can say anything about what he did with the money. It’s not a crime with the IRS until way down the road after he files his taxes.

You might also consider buying an inexpensive video camera, like the Flip Ultra HD, or an even better one Instapundit linked that Kodak is bringing out next month, which takes removable memory chips. Then you have a visual and audio record of stuff like your questioning the wig lady about what the diner was going to do with the fraudulently-obtained money.

I’m not a lawyer, but that is how I would handle it.

      Cynthia

  3. Actually, some time back I was slightly involved in the management of a small 501(c)3 chariatable corporation and the IRS should get involved as soon as possible. Any violation is Federal, not local. And from what I have seen in large conferences and classes where I met bluesuits from all over, all of the Chicago law enforcement machinery is under the iron control of the Daley Machine. (Not that I’ve ever been there)

Anyhow, any wrongdoing in the name of charity doesn’t always have to wait until it’s time to file a tax return.

  4. Hey, I’m a lawyer, and I agree with Cynthia’s very sensible and smart advice to take it to the district attorney.

I am very very glad that Hillbuzz is up and running! I loved your work on the David Letterman attacks.

I am open to collaborating with Cynthia and Hillbuzz because I feel that I share similar attitudes and ideologies, and I am very impressed by your work on the David Letterman issue.

For the past day or two I’ve been focusing most of my energy on the “Citizen Informant” program the White House has instituted. I wrote to Sen. John Cornyn to thank him for standing up to voice protest against this unprecedented call by the White House for Americans to inform on one another for exercising their First Amendment rights. I wrote to Sarah Palin and Rep. Peter King of New York, asking them to do the same.

Any ideas or advice from you, Cynthia, and Hillbuzz would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for all your work,
    L

    1. Rosita,

      Thank you!

Yes, I am open to collaborating with you, too! Also, HillBuzz!

Re the latest step of the Obama administration towards totalitarianism through encouraging people to tattle on their neighbors for daring to express opposition to Obama’s fell proposals, Little Miss Attila has turned herself in. Dan Collins says it would be wrong to send the e-mail address for tattlers to SPAM mailers. I guess, along those lines, it would be wrong to submit it to porn sites and any and every e-zine opt-in.

I favor ridicule. Obama knows ridicule is powerful — it’s one of Alinsky’s rules — but he has no sense of humor, so he does not have the ability to ridicule, only sneer, which makes people with self-esteem just laugh at him in reply. Also, he is notoriously thin-skinned, so he can just barely dish it out and can’t take it AT ALL. THIS. IS. HILARIOUS. So, cry horselaugh and unleash the hounds of ridicule!

  5. Yeah, I turned myself in twice. Once mockingly, once indignantly.

What the eff is going on here? I would think the LGBT community would be in up in arms, because if we’re going to play a giant national game of witch-hunt, the kid who doesn’t have a date to the prom is one of the first to go.

I am concentrating on this issue. I just “turned in” to the American people the 30 year-old New Media Director who posted this Directive.

I am absolutely appalled to the core, absolutely up in arms about this. If you have any ideas…. tell me what to do!

Also, maybe you would like to look at this, maybe I’ll put it in the comments on the Hillbuzz site- it’s a HCAN “Healthcare for America Now” playbook on “thwarting” town hall protesters? WTF?
.-= Rosita´s last blog ..Hi, American People. I Have Someone I’d Like to Inform On to You. Someone Who Has Illegally Abridged Your Freedom of Speech. HIS NAME HIS MACON PHILLIPS. I’d just like to “flag” this guy. =-.

    1. Rosita,

Ridicule is Obama’s Kryptonite. We have to keep exposing what he is doing, ridiculing what he and the Democrats are doing and ridicule him personally. Also, we MUST keep up the Tea Parties and attending town hall meetings and contacting our members of Congress to let them know we are NOT OK with extreme deficit spending, we are NOT OK with health care as the bait for the hook of socialism, we are NOT OK with our First Amendment rights being violated, we are NOT OK with search and seizure of our computers and data, we are NOT OK with workers being deprived of the secret ballot for any reason, we are NOT OK with mandatory “volunteer” programs (which tax TIME ITSELF!), we are NOT OK with any industry being nationalized, we are NOT OK with our military being weakened, we are NOT OK with Obama supporting the would-be tyrant in Honduras instead of democratic law and order, we are NOT OK with Israel being undermined and abandoned — well, that’s enough for a start.

It is especially important to show up at town hall meetings when you live in a Democrat’s district. Talk to your member of Congress, point out you are a constituent, make your points politely but firmly, tell them you do NOT want them to vote on bills they haven’t read and insist on direct answers to your questions if it looks like your representative is filibustering to run out the clock.

Bring a video camera — the Flip cameras are affordable and the video loads easily to YouTube — so you can record what you say. If you have a buddy with a video camera, have the buddy near the podium to record your Congressmember’s replies. In fact, it would be great if we can form video committees who take the responsibility for attending these meetings and Tea Parties with video cameras, recording the proceedings, interviewing attendees, then pooling their videos so they can be edited into videos that can be sent to Pajamas Media and posted on YouTube.

If you read September’s issue of The Advocate online, you’ll see the gay and lesbian community is just starting to grasp that Obama made promises to them he never intended to keep. In those stories and at gay and lesbian blogs, they sound like abused wives afraid to leave the husband who is their sole support and who believe his lies that they’ll never get anyone to treat them better and who make excuses for him even as his abuse becomes more and more vicious and deadly. Republicans would be smart to do things to humiliate Obama like being the ones to propose legislation for the repeal of “don’t ask, don’t tell” and forming welcoming committees for the fiscally conservative gays and lesbians who would cheerfully ditch Obama when such a sensible olive branch is proffered.

  6. Cynthia,

Great post. I too, along with millions of others, am furious about this latest tactic of the tattletail site. This administration is so dull-witted that they underestimate us every day. They thought they would intimidate people into not writing on their blogs, not twittering, and even not speaking to friends and neighbors about their own views on the health care reform bill. This, like so many other little “tricks” will, I think, backfire on them, and I think we’ll see that site disappear in another few days or so.

But, that won’t mean that they won’t be compiling info on anybody they want. These people are not only socialists, they are thugs.

I wanted to say how much I like your post, then I read your comment above to Rosita, and would like to add, ‘WOW, great comment!’

  7. Cynthia, you are awesome. I’m excerpting this on my blog if you don’t mind because it’s inspirational.

The “liberals,” Statists, whatever, I think your battered wife analogy is so apt because the statists brainwash and badger minorities and LGBT into thinking that out beyond the city walls is a whole country of straight white people who hate them, so that they’re stuck with their liberal overlords who abuse them, and this is just not the truth. I was just emailing a couple days ago with a new conservative who’s African-American, and she was like, “I found out conservatives aren’t racist like they said.”

“Don’t ask, don’t tell” really holds us back, particularly now when everyone is so ignorant and badly educated, we can’t afford that policy.

    1. Rosita and Conservative Pup,

      Thank you!

Yes, Rosita, it’s OK to excerpt — just attribute and link back, that’s all.

About the newly conservative African-American — she is right. I saw plenty of diversity at CPAC — not the Benneton kind where it’s just an appearance of a rainbow, but diversity inside and out. The inner diversity thrives among conservatives because there are no thought police, people have boundaries and respect the boundaries of others, and discussions start on common ground.

  8. Cynthia,
I wanted you to know that Goggle has closed access to Conservatives4Palin. You only get a blank white page with a Google letterhead stating: “We’re sorry….but your computer or network may be sending automated queries. To protect our users, we can’t process your request right now.” Several commenters at Dan Riehl’s site are having the same problem. I think this might have something to do with the Jesse Griffin dust-up, because his site has the same problem. I noticed I had the problem the second time I tried to access either site. What gives???

    1. Ad rem,

I’ve spent most of the afternoon trying to get Shakey Pete’s Shootin’ Shack feed to work in my blog news feed, without success, because the instructions from Blogger do not match his news feed.

When I checked late this afternoon, The Other McCain, Riehl World View and Conservatives4Palin were all working. I don’t know why they had problems earlier.

      Cynthia

  9. TheOtherMcCain is down also. Some have speculated it might have something to do with yesterday’s DOS attack on Twitter and such, however, only the sites regarding Jesse and Palin info seem to be affected….?
