I love Sarah Palin — may God bless and protect her always

I love Sarah Palin — love, love, love her. I respect her. I admire her. I am in awe of her ability always to call forth the highest and best in everyone, as she does in this speech, which is all the more inspiring considering the viciousness and insanity of the attacks on her and her family by the Left — Allahpundit notes that death threats against Gov. Palin are at an all-time high.

For better commentary than I can come up with right now, I direct you to Moe Lane, Gabriel Malor at Ace of Spades HQ addressing objections to Gov. Palin’s use of the expression “blood libel,” Ed Morrissey at Hot Air (along with transcript of the speech), and Ace.

  1. The bit that puzzles me is where the left accuse her of putting herself into the debate. Er, what? Maybe if they hadn’t accused her of inciting mass murder (and aiming death threats at her) before the bodies were cold, then she wouldn’t have had to, y’know, defend herself.

Seriously, what’s the deal with the idea that by existing, she now has to take whatever the left dishes out, and defending herself now means she’s, um, unpresidential? Aside from the left being actively malevolent (and I try to not say that lightly), I can’t see any other explanation.

  2. The Left has some nerve accusing the Right of inciting violence after eight years of their anti-Bush rhetoric. When even Obama refuses to cross that line, you know they’re grasping at straws.

From everything I have read about him, it sounds as though Jared Loughner would have tried to take a shot at Sarah Palin if he had had the chance.
