Allahpundit has the story on Arizona Sen. John McCain’s Republican primary opponent, J.D. Hayworth, speculating that homosexual marriage equality will provide a legal precedent for people marrying horses.
Like that’s a bad thing.
However, since there already seems to be a fair number of straight people complaining they married a horse’s ass, I’m having a hard time seeing where the slippery slope is here and how marriage equality for homosexuals has anything to do with it.

As a lifelong Arizonan, I can tell you with certainty that J.D. Hayworth is a horse’s ass. He used to be a sports newscaster, and he seemed like sort of a buffoon then. When he went into politics and started bloviating about topics other than sports, he laid to rest any doubt that he was an idiot. If anybody married a horse, it was the unfortunate woman who became his wife.
I didn’t vote for McCain in the ’08 presidential election, but I’ll be pulling the lever for him to keep his seat in the Senate.
